Olivet Seminary Releases 'History of Christianity I'

Olivet Seminary has introduced a course titled ‘History of Christianity I,’ taught by the distinguished church historian Dr. Donald Tinder. This course is part of the Theological & Historical Studies Requirement, aimed at enriching the curriculum and offering students exceptional educational opportunities in theological studies. 

The course covers the history of history of Christianity up to the year 1700, emphasizing the Bible’s significance as a historical document that shapes Christian theology and ethics, while also demonstrating how historical events have impacted contemporary doctrines and practices. 

Through ten lectures, the course seeks to deepen students’ connections with the Christian community throughout history, encouraging an appreciation for the challenges and successes faced by earlier believers in their mission to spread the Gospel.
